Throughout this summer and autumn 2019, the UPNA group has been working intensively on soil and vegetation sampling, studying the effects of burning and grazing directed on the pilot experience established in Roncesvalles. We have had the participation of the INTIA team in soil sampling and also with the collaboration of geographic engineer Cussui Segura, a worker of the Natural Protected Areas Service of Peru, very interested in applying similar sustainable management practices in abandoned areas of her country . We have also had the participation of two undergraduate and master students in training in the group, Mikel Ekiza and Amaia Ibarrola. Now we have some long months of laboratory work and treatment of the information collected. We attached some images of the samplings performed.
