ASSISTANCE TO PASTORALISM AND PATHWAYS

23 enero 2019

At the end of June 2018, the city of Teruel hosted the 57th Scientific Meeting of the Spanish Pastures Society and the III National Congress of Livestock and Transhumance. Researchers from UPNA, CSIC-Zaidín and UAB attended this national congress where CSIC-Zaidín disseminated the Open2preserve project for the rest of the members of the Spanish Pastures Society, and UPNA and UAB presented the first works related to the project (breeding of native horses in danger of extinction and pasture recovery after carrying out prescribed burns).

This national event was also an opportunity to establish the first sketches of the design of the pilot experiences and vegetation sampling by the groups present involved in the regional project, a subject that would be further discussed in depth at the consortium meeting organized in September of the same year in Roncesvalles.
