After different conversations between CMAOT, CSIC-EEZ and the project coordinator, it was decided to carry out an additional burning in the spring (which took place on May 7), in an area of 2.85 ha, to compare the effects of this on the vegetation and the ground with the autumn burning. On April 24, the CSIC-EEZ team and CMAOT personnel evaluated the vegetation and took the soil samples prior to burning following the same methodology used for the autumn burning. Four plots of 500 m 2 were established and within each one of them the vegetation (coverage and height) was evaluated in 8 squares of 1 m 2 and soil samples were taken in 6 points.
