After the burning carried out on May 7 by CMAOT, the EEZ-CSIC team and CMAOT personnel returned to the pilot area to assess the severity of the burning and sample the soil. As in the pre-burning sampling, 4 plots of 500 m 2 were evaluated and, within each of them, the severity of burning on the vegetation (percentage of burned or softened vegetation) in 8 squares of 1 m two .
