During September 21, 22, 23 and 24, INTIA and UPNA organized the Potro Meat Tasting Days produced in pastures in areas of high environmental value within the framework of the valorization strategy designed by the Navarrese teams in the O2P project . The sessions consisted of product tastings and Focus Group meetings.
The objective of these conferences was to value the goods and services provided by this quality meat production process based on restored pastures in areas of high environmental value and to contrast the opinion of the attendees, belonging to different professional fields (livestock, restaurateurs, technicians and environmental managers, and administration) on the production system and on the organoleptic quality of the foal meat of the indigenous breeds Jaca Navarra and Burguete obtained based on this production system
This activity has been the penultimate activity of the pony meat recovery process that began in May 2019 within the framework of the O2P project, which aims to demonstrate that meat products of the highest quality can be obtained using a restorative and conservative production system of the biodiversity and landscape quality, and reduces the risk of fires due to its efficient brushcutting action. This valorization process will end with a tasting panel of foal meat consumers.
