VISIT TO CTC FACILITIES

24 septiembre 2019

Last Thursday, September 19, in the framework of the third Open2Preserve meeting, the consortium partners had the opportunity to visit the facilities of the Meat Technology Center (CTC).

The experience consisted of a visit to the CTC, in which the facilities were shown as the pilot plant, where the different CTC products are made. You could also see the many laboratories of the center, the workplace of the researchers. Finally, and in a more formal situation, in the meeting room different products developed by the CTC were shown that have the prioritization of health as a pillar (sausage, sausage, cooked ham, pate …) and it was shown which one is going to be the valorization strategy that will be followed to put on the market foal meat products with a nutritionally improved profile.

Thus, the visit was very enriching, and the different partners of the consortium were able to get ideas for valorization strategies.
